North Conway LL Bean
The new 14,500 square foot L.L. Bean store in North Conway, New Hampshire was completed in the Summer of 2008, at a project cost of $1.4 million. This single story building joins the larger Settlers’ Crossing commercial complex of retail establishments and restaurants at the junction of Routes 16 and 302. The project team was committed to sustainability and pursuing the US Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design green building rating system. The project was one of the first to utilize the new LEED for Retail certification, taking part in the initial pilot phase. The team focused on an integrated design to reduce its environmental impact and maximize occupant health and comfort. The project is awaiting its final LEED certification.
